May 16th, 2012 -- Urban Agriculture - Portage Bay Grange
Join us on Wednesday, May 16th, at the University of Washington, as we welcome Kevin and Kirsten Scott-Vandenberge, owners of Portage Bay Grange in Seattle. After tending their own backyard flock of hens in their urban Seattle backyard and making regular trips to the area's far-flung feed stores, sometimes three in one outing, owners Kevin and Kirsten Scott-Vandenberge decided to turn their growing passion for urban re-homesteading into a business. It is Portage Bay Grange's mission to provide supplies, services and support for urban farmers. Come hear their amazing journey of farming success amongst the hustle and bustle of downtown Seattle.
